expected scoring trend for geography in 2020

A.o,a all,
This is my last attempt and I do not want to change geography. It fetched me 46 marks in CE 2019. Any senior who could please help me to prepare it in a better way and what is the expected scoring trend of geography in 2020?

You cant predict scoring trends in the post 2016 CSS era...simple as that.

Geography was the optional i had prepared most extensively for..my paper was outstanding and yet i scored 51.

2016: Average scoring
2017: low scoring (in fact, some candidates failed)
2018: High scoring
2019: Average scoring. (actually i'd put it at below average, as the highest score i've seen till now is 55). A friend of mine who scored 82 in 2018..only got 48 this time.

so if we are going by this trend, there's a good chance that geography will be hit again :(

But again, you can't accurately predict scoring trends.

Keeping this in mind, would it be advisable to change geo at this stage.

I'd suggest keep it. What other subject can you pick at this time? Only 100 days or so are left in the exams.

IR has been hit (quite brutally) in 2017 and 19..while being average scoring in 2016 and 2018..so again no prediction..but IR paper 1 might be high scoring this year.

I law(this is a subject i'm optimistic will be somewhat easier in 2020..coz the 2018 and 19 papers were quite difficult)..and most new candidates are opting for criminology. Btw, how much did you score in 2019 in I.law?

US history and Gender..can't comment because they're not my optionals and i have no idea regarding paper pattern nor observed its scoring trend.

Failed in i law. 30 in I law in 2019 and 43 in 2018.
