Dear!

For geography 1

Physical Geography by Sarfraz Bajwa

For geography 2

Physical, human and regional Geography by Jehangir Sanpal

Geography of Pakistan by Fazl e Karim Khan

(Note: These books are recommended by a DMG CSP)

Dear Khan!

MCQs can be attempted easily if one has a good command over theory. And for paper 1 in my opinion Bajwa's book is enough as it has put all the syllabus of CSS in one book including many excerpts from recommended books.

For paper 2, you can study recommended books if you have time, but to get an understanding you can study Sanpal book as it is a compete book covering whole syllabus of geography paper 1 and paper 2 for CSS exam.

Regards,

Dear Khan!

As far as your first question is concerned, I would say that Sanpal's book covers the syllabus part but keeping in view the current trend of geography papers one should be multi-dimentional and be able to relate things. Also paper 2 requires updated facts and figures related to demography which you should search on the internet and update it on Sanpal's book.

Now we come to your second question, for maps section in paper 1, Bajwa's book would suffice.

Wish you all the best!

Regards,
