AoA, perhaps i will not be good in it, but it may be somewhat as under:
- The river basins and coastal plains of South Asia primarily comprises alluvial soil accumulated by three gigantic rivers. This soil is silty loam having good soil structure as well as texture. - River basins is hard work of three main rivers i.e Indus, Brahamputra and Ganges including of their tributaries. Their deltas also contain rich level of soil which support vegetation. - These soils have good capacity of retention of water, ground level of water is also good. Further the atmosphere is humid/tropical which supports life. - Ground is level, which do not allow fast movement of water but also canals, which support retention and smooth sailing of water both above and under ground - Good soil/land, availability of water and humid temperature supports vegetation /crops, which resultantly supports population..
