Smile I just need few seconds of your precious time

Hello all,

anyone who has prepared or have appeared in examination and attempted journalism, I would request to kindly put some comment regarding "books" and scoring trend. I know there are other topics asking book and aspirants have replied there too, but let talk about this subject considering recent trend or development. thanks a lot.

my apology, but please don't just reply with a comment that "read the FPSC books" I know these are good books, yet this is lengthy track considering time frame, everyone understands that. at least, recommend any good book or two in FPSC or elsewhere. thanks

any relevant internet website or you tube lectures?

Default Took Mass Comm last year

Assalam O Alaikum,

I hope you're all doing well.

I took Journalism and Mass Communication last year. Here are some things that might help you.

In past years, the section about Mass Communication Theories has emerged as the most important questions. There have been some years in which four questions out seven were from here. I mostly googled the key terms and often wrote 'pdf' and 'jstor' in front of them to get access to scholarly sources. Also, McQuail's book from the recommended books part of the syllabus covers this entirely.

Other important sections are the ones about Media Laws (just google all all the sub parts mentioned in the syllabus) and make a timelime

For the Development Communication and Development Support Communication part please google UN handbook on DSC. Its the best source.

Besides this McQuail's books are by far the most relevant and the syllabus follows it closely.

Hope this helps.

P.S another important area: Media and culture, specifically the McBride Commission.
