Post Historic Facts about Emergence of Muslim Press in the era of 1940's

The following lines are narrated by MUHAMMAD MUBARAK. AHMAD son of HASAN AHMAD - DISTINGUISHED & SENIOR JOURNALIST OF THE CIS - HIMALYAN SUBCONTINENT:-

The hidden truth based on the solid facts proved by the Original historic documents & manuscript is in the safe custody of the writer. The battle of the independence of Muslim nation in India, which was fought with the Leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Press. It was a war waged with the weapons of the Press and the platform, not bullets or bayonets. In early 1940's All India Muslim League and his leadership faced great hindrances in running the Independence movement of Muslim nation in India, due to the extreme opposition of the existing Press which was piloted by extremist Hindus. Subsequently, a need of the Muslim Press was seriously felt with the Leadership of Quaid -e-Azam, therefore he contacted learned Journalist of the time - HASAN AHMAD to bring his dream of Muslim Press into existence. My Father Honorable Hasan Ahmad did this great job in two phases:-

1- In January 1941, he happened to have established the unrivaled record of building up the First Muslim Press Agency "The Orient Press of India Ltd." and established its branches in Delhi, Calcutta, Luckhnow & Lahore as its Chief Editor. It was established to publish the lone Voice of the Muslims of the Cis - Himalayan subcontinent. It had supplied the long felt want of a news agency for all those who had been all these years helpless eye witness to their case going by default through lack of a standing counsel who could state their case also. It worked to emphasize solidarity of the Muslim nation in India as a whole irrespective of different Muslim Platform or parties and also to counteract on the negative propaganda of the Hindu Press.

2- Later - on as a second step of the task Quaid-e-Azam demanded from my learned father. The establishment of the first English Newspaper from the platform of All India Muslim League. Once again he founded & piloted the first English Newspaper "DAWN", Delhi as its founder Editor. The "DAWN" first dawned over the hoary horizon of almost pre - historic Delhi on Sunday the 26"' October 1941, subsequently to brighten the prospect of the entire subcontinent and beyond. From the day of starting publication this first English weekly of the Muslims of the subcontinent grew - up to be first class daily in the record time of little less then a year with Day & night hard work and great efforts of its Editor Honorable HASAN AHMAD.

He asked the Quaid for help to once again establish that Muslim Venture in the larger interest of the Muslim Nation in India. For more detailed facts please read the original documents.
Second biggest & historic achievement of my father Late Hasan Ahmad is the establishment of the first Muslim Newspaper in English, The "DAWN" DELHI, as an Editor. The first Muslim Newspaper rising from the platform of All India Muslim League under the leadership of the Quaid. The complete cooperation of Syed Hasan Riaz, Editor of the Urdu weekly "Manshoor" & Matloob - Ul - Hasan Syed, Secretary to Quaid – e - Azam was an added advantage. Honorable Hasan Ahmad was nominated founder Editor of the "DAWN" by the Quaid Muhammad Ali Jinnah himself.
