Q.8: Public Relations is deliberate, planned, and sustained effort to establish and maintain mutual understanding between an organization and its public. Explain.
Introduction Definition of PR Aim of Public Relations Advantages of PR Conclusion Introduction In order to launch or introduce a product in the market, it needs an advertisement. It needs to be a crystal clear product in front of public. So that the public can be understood regarding its usages and advantages. In this regard, that specific product is advertised and launched broadly. However, whether it is electronic or print media, both play vital role in introducing that product in order to sell it out as much as they could. Hence, still there is need of introducing the product in front of public exclusively. And in that purpose, Public Relations plays a vital role. PR is a sort of process which is done by Public and organization on a specific forum or platform. Indeed, the exact definition of PR is deliberated, planned and sustained establishment to device mutual coordination and cooperation between the organization and public. AIMS OF PR Nevertheless, the aim of the public relations are a lot. But some of the aims are as under: First and foremost aim is of to introduce a product in front of public. Apart from that it enhances the mutual understanding between the public and organization. People come in to contact, and they compare that product with other similar products. Besides, the functions and tendencies of that product are highly introduced so that people could make a decision whether they get it or not. Secondly, in such scenario, the public and organizations are usually on the board, and they increase mutual coordination and cooperation. Besides, it also makes a place for the upcoming product in order to sell out the product. In this way, people always are satisfied. Last but not the least, in such a broad forum whether it is in any place, it is a positive gesture and understanding among the people for some any product to get it for their benefits. And also organizations are updated in such a way about the contemporary trends of products. And as a matter of fact, it is an astonishing impact on the public exclusively. ADVANTAGES OF PR ..However, the advantages of Public Relations can be described as under:- ..It introduces new products ..It provides an opportunity for organization to get in contacted public ..It enhances the activities of public to public contact, and in this way, the mutual coordination is increased to the great extent. ..Demand and supply gap is filled up, and in this way elastic and inelastic curve function their tendencies. ..Apart from above, both electronic and print media also function their role in advertising the product. Again it is a green gesture for both the public and organizations. Conclusion Conclusively, Public Relation has utmost impatience in order to introduce a product in market. Similarly, it enhances the mutual coordination and cooperation between people and organizations. Indeed, without PR, nothing can be done good enough related to new product in order to supply it to the consumers. Indeed, a well planned, and sustained efforts of PR can do miracles in devising the exclusive and mutual cooperation and understanding between public and organization. Please pin point my mistakes...And Qurban dear, keep it up. Inshallah you will find me with you in attempting every question... Thanks in anticipation... |

Though you have tried to cover the topic very well but you have focused on private TV channel . Name any public TV channel then give comparison between private and public tv channel . You have covered the role of private TV channels very well but what your conclusion should be ? It might be of watchdog or lapdog depending on their performance. You have told about Elections but PTV announced result of elections after the election commission announcement and private TV channels have announced when result of one polling station was out , out of 100 polling Tv station which changed the mindset of people who are sitting in front of the Tv who did not have casted the vote or private channels have molded the opinion on dictation . So how their role is of watchdog instead of lapdog . If Geo have shown footage of illegal actions it has posed on one day as a normal activity , when issue raised by other channels ,then Geo claimed it is first channel who disclosed the information , if social medias had not disseminated such videos , then that issues was put down without any noise . You can compare Mubashir Luqman with Hamid Mir in this context . If you will start your answer by giving a strong stance like its role is of lapdog instead of presenting both sides and not justifying your stance properly , then less marks would be awarded. If I would start this topic then I will say private TV channels role is of lapdog whereas public TV channel is of watchdog focusing on these lines will try to delineate other facts which will show my clarity or my opinion is well shaped like I am on debate and have to focus on one side Quote:

Focusing on one side just is not effective tool of attempting it and even personalized the situation . Instead of beating around one bush , make a sticky notes which have different aspects ; even you may divide the topic into four aspects like political , economical , sociological, and idealogical caused . Among these four points you have to present each point with various sub points . It will present a well balance approach which will enable to get 14+ or even 16+ plus marks in papers . It will give length to your question as well along with balanced presentation . Quote:

Q6) how ‘Print Media’ is so important in Pakistan society after the development of “electronic Media”? Argue in detail. Mass media : diverse technologies are used to communicate information to the mass by employing the process of mass communication. It includes print media, electronic media and more recently social media. Traditionally, for centuries information has been disseminated to the wider public by the use of print media including newspapers, books, journals, magazines etc. However, in the recent times, advancement in science and technology have revolutionized the base of information sharing and electronic media has emerged as a strong competitior to the print media. Electronic media uses electricity or electromechanical waves to help the audience get an access to content. However, in Pakistan, print media is still very strong. Importance of print media in Pakistan Recently, a private research company MEMRB conducted a survey and found that 14 million Pakistani read newspaper atleast once a week. This finding is at par with the international publication, top 10 of everything in 2011, which confirmed that Pakistan is in the list of ten countries with the highest circulation of newspapers. In Pakistan, newspapers are dominated by jang whereas, daily dawn is the most popular English newspaper. Why print media? There are many social, cultural and humanistic factors responsible for the strong selling of newspapers in Pakistan. a) Newspaper culture: print media has played an important role in the creation of Pakistan in the form of zamindar, inqilab, hamdard, tehzib ulakhlaq etc. as a result, it has developed roots in the country. Still, there are many families which start their day in the morning with newspaper reading. b) Power outages: Pakistan is witnessing worst energy crises with unscheduled loadshedding in rise. In such circumstances, people cannot rely on electronic media as a source of information. But newspapers can still be used to provide information. c) Portability: electronic media depends upon electricity. Not all electronic media equipments can be carried along anywhere and everywhere. However, newspapers can be carried to any place. d) Genuine news: electronic media faces a lot of competition. In order to win the mad race, they do not bother to verify news and just broadcast it from anywhere. On the other hand, newspapers have some policy and they often print news that is authentic and duly verified. e) Quality of news : audience usually complains that the quality of news of electronic media is declining day by day. On the other hand, readers usually find printed information more reliable . f) Cost effectiveness : Pakistan is a developing country. A large majority of the population lives below the standard level. In such conditions, it is not easy for everyone to buy electronic appliances such as Telivisions, computers or even radios. In addition, they have to get electricity connections, internet connections. Overall, newspapers are found to be way too cheap for the consumers than electrical appliances. g) Repetition: print media has an advantage over electronic media that a news broadcasted on tv, radio cannot be repeated again, but a news printed can be read and re read again till it becomes absolutely clear. h) Easy on eyes: surveys conducted have concluded that print media is easier to perceive that electronic media. Generally, people report of heaviness and burden on eyes due to watching excessive tv or internet. i) Deluge of information: newspaper editiors often prioritize news items and present them in an orderly manner with reference to their relevance. On the other hand, tv channels, internet or radio do not classify news on the basis of priority. Audience usually feels a deluge of information storming them all over. j) Less distraction: due to the advertisements, electronic media offers many distractions to the audience. But the newspaper readers can easily read the whole newspaper without any break and diversion from advertisement or breaking news. k) Satisfaction: biologists and psychologists have conducted many researchers on print media and electronic media. Studies have shown that people do not feel full satisfaction even after watching tv, listening to radio or surfing internet for hours. They still miss the process of “reading”. Critical analysis: progress and advancement is a continuous process. Earlier man heard news through the word of mouth, then came print media, followed by electronic media and subsequently social media. However, print media still has a huge impact on individual’s lives. People still consider it to be an authentic, good quality satisfying source of information. |
