AOA, i m a new member of that forum, INSHALLAH will be appear in the coming NWFP PMS Exam, 1 of my optional subject is Persian & some one recommend me Gul-e-Farsi by Maj (r) Nazir Ahmed Zafar Cheema for Persian Paper, believe me it is very nice book, who covered the Paper of CSS as well as PMS.

If a person doesn't know anything then how can he/she attempt any paper???

Nothing is impossible to a willing heart! If you study throughly then you can give any paper. All it requires is hard work and some concentration and, above all, your interest!

@ Faraz .... bro is there any Iranian Cultural Centre in Quetta? u can take admission in Iranian cultural center for a 3 month certificate course ... they will teach u how to speak/read and write and once u r done with it ... u can opt Persian.

Sadat so nice of you Dear that what i want to know yeah in Quetta we have Iranian cultural center surely i just want to know info i am not going to attemp because my one teacher YaYha Tajiq he said persian is very easy even u can attempt in CSS

Dear Faraz,

It is possible for u if u have intentions to have the persian as ur optional

subject.

In Quetta you can can go to Iranian Embassy located at Jinnah road, there

you will find a course of 3 months , where the persian with exact and proper

Grammar is taught..

It is very easy and i m sure you can learn that...........

You asked that if the person does not know can he attempt the paper. Now tell me if a person doesn't know anything how can he/she attempt any paper?

So if you have interest in this paper and if you work hard then for sure you can attemp the paper.

U just have to write the essay in persian and translate the paragraph into persian , the rest of the paper can be done in english/urdu. and its a scoring subject ... a member of this forum Mr. Arif Wazir opted it and scored 147 in it ..... he just went for a 3 months course from the cultural center.

IF U HV LITERAry bend of my u must opt for persian.its very very easy bt it requires special attention.....the most amazing thing abt persian is that it is prepared only once.u dnt need 2 revise persian again n again like political science or history.

Bro out of these 3 go for Indo Pak History , it will save u some time bczz indopak history's paper b and pakistan affairs have the same course outline.

i appeared in css 2007 & scored 75% marks in persian.there are few querries in this thread i would like to express my opinion.
1) to get good maks in persian there are few prerequisites:firstly command on language, secondly to hava a literary taste because persian literature is predominantly poetry and finally hard working. any one who doesn't know ABC of persian language his/ her hope of getting good marks will dashed to ground:hurt
2) RECOMMENDED BOOKS
a)Tareekh adab nama e Iran by prof Maqbool badakhshani
b)Gul-e- Farsi A & B by jahangir publishers
c) Quarterly magazine 'DANISH" published by Pak Iran cultural certre Islamabad.
as compared to other opyional papers carrying 200 marks persian is easy and scoring.:laughing

how would you expect to attempt papers in english?
so learn persian... U dunt have to ace it though but learn it well enough and go for it....

dear i intend to attempt CSS in 2012. one of the optionals is persian. in inhabit in Quetta and have searched a lot the book of major nazir ahmed zafar cheema, i have also searched in karachi but no use. could u tell me where will i be able to find it out?
