Default firstly ponder upon the tenses and grammar

i have adopted persian but it is allien to me as iam not familiar with the technicalities of the language but the thing that makes one satisfy is that if one gets good command over the persian language,he or she will definitely earn some excellent marks without being bothered regarding the preparation of the persian paper.
actually i have had persian as an optional subject in b.a.i think you should firstly ponder upon the present, past and future tencses, vocabulary and grammar and lastly turn towards the persian literature.
