Default ce-2014 annex B

Candidates opting languages will be asked to answer some
questions in the language concerned and will be expected to have
knowledge of the Principal Authors, both Classical and
Contemporary and to be able to compose in the language and
translate from it into English and vice versa.

does that mean we will have to attempt all in english?

I have very basic knowledge of Persian (tenses + basic vocabulary). Should I opt for it? The past papers seem difficult with translation of words like 'democracy' required. Do the suggested books cover this vocabulary? And what about writers/poets? Is there a list of topics given from where we need to prepare?
