Exp Psy

Hi Yea Exp Psychology refers to Experimental Psychology. Experimental Psychology is a basic field of psychology that deals with the study of higher level mental processes and our cognition. It also covers topics like Learning, Motivation, Emotion, Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence.
In Psychology, Experimental Psychology also consists of a number of laboratory based practicals. But in css syllabus, no such practical is included.
However, the Experimental Psychology has changed its direction and nature in modern day psychology. Now its popularly called Cognitive Psychology.
I hope, this reply would clarify your confusion.
Regards.

Thanks alot. It has really cleared the confusion. I am currently studying Understanding Psychology by Feldman in my psychology course but this book doesn't cover all the syllabus which is required in css exam. Kindly suggest any other book which will cover remaining syllabus also. Thanks.

Psychology Books

Hi May I know about your educational background?
Feldman's book is good but it does not cover the whole syllabi. You may consult the following books:
Introduction to the History of Psychology by Hergenhahn
Personality Theories by LPE Series
For Development (David Myers 'Psychology')
Abnormal Psychology by Comer
I hope, this would be enough for you.
Regards.
