Psychology Books

Hi Dr Asad You have opted psychology as your optional. Well, if you want to get very good marks in psychology, you can achieve but you have to prepare this subject from more than one book. I mean to say that there is no one book available that can cover the whole of the syllabi of the subject.
However, you may try the followings:
1. Psychology by Robert Baron OR
2. Exploring psychology by David Myers OR
3. Psychology and life by Zimbardo OR
4. Psychology by Gerow OR
5. Understanding Psychology by Feldman OR
6. Psychology by Wyne Weiten
U may consult any one of the above mentioned texts. In addition, the following books may help you as well:
1. History of Psychology by Schulze OR by Hergenhahn
2. Abnormal Psychology by Comer OR by Neale & Davison
Best of Luck!
Regards.

The books recommended above are very good for references.

You can follow the text book of BA by Shehr Bano both for part 1 and part 2.

Psychology and Life by Zimbardo and Gerrig is recommended by many seniors and csps who opted psychology
but it depends on you which book you like
keep syllabus and past papers in front of you and make you own notes or add on one book you study.

@ Seniors.

should i make the combination of Feldman+Z.Gerrig
nd refer these two books?
Should i lock this option???
over to seniors..:?

dr.asad sb
look one book is not enough in css
mostly questions do not come in an easy way
if you have read different books or at least covered syllabus with different perspectives only then you will score well
go through various post in forum and past papers also
you will get an idea, how and from where to prepare.
zimbardo's book is a very good book.

@ Deadly Sb.

"BOOKS AND FRIENDS SHOULD BE FEW BUT GOOD"
We have to do maximum work in minimum time so for
that we will have to be more precise and more specific..
Your regime works when we people have lot of time to
overcome there syllabus but in this exam u do not have
extra time to enjoy the taste of exams like other college
and university exams in Pakistan. So select a book which
is Good in containing the material regarding ur prescribed
syllabus and that book should be commanded any how
at any cost.Along with that we should also refer some other
books for very special references and for that questions
which are not touched by our reading material. So in this
context i was saying that i believe in one book policy plus
other material which is very essential to read and cover for
getting good marks in this exam.
According to ur prescribed regime:-
4-books for Indo-Pak history
5-books for Psychology
3-Books for Journalism
3-books for Sociology.
According to this methode how many months we will be requiring
to cover the syllabus of only optional subjects?
I think surely it will take 8-10 months to cover and make full
command over these books. Then what abt the compulsory
subjects? Shall we be able to cover those giants within 2-3
month?......NEVER.
So i think we should be very much conscious in selecting the.
books and follow the rules and regulations which are always
lead by the commitment, dedication and excellence.
I hope that i will be able to translate my thoughts in your
cerebral cortex.
I will be always welcoming ur suggestion regarding our studies.
THANKS
REGARDS.
DR ASAD.

@ dr.asad
my cerebral cortex is shielded from such ideas:happy:
well janab my idea was to show you right picture.
if you look at papers you will see that one book hardly covers any paper completely.other books are required. and where did i tell you to completely read all books?
yes css consumes time,a lot of time.well prepared subjects can give one,a good score.
what you want to follow is your wish.
and i never recommended sociology books. journalism i told you any one of the book ,all are recommended.
indo-pak and psychology if one doesn't read more books, one cannot cope with paper and different questions asked always in different style.
compulsory subjects can be prepared in 2-3 months.i know peoople who have prepared the whole css in a span of 4-5 months and are now csps.
ok whatever.you can do whatever you like
