Hi dear
I'm a psychologist. you should read disorders 1st then you should read psychotherapies. use internet to search all therapies including in syllabus. because you won't find all the mentioned therapies in the same book. No one still wrote book of Psychology for CSS. I'll do it if Allah grant me with His blessings.
Just relax and use internet for therapies and no need to go into much details of therapies...
Stay blessed
Thanks

Default Need Help Psych II

Hi Fareed Sh. You have opted psychology. Its good. Its technical and scoring subject in css yet needs proper preparation. One important thing I would like to add to your knowledge:

Psychology can be abbreviated as Psy or Psych but can not be abbreviated as Psycho. The word "Psycho" refers to an individual who has become or is suffering from a psychological abnormality especially a psychotic one. This word was used as a satire to refer to psychotics. Now, it has been discarded from the technical sophisticated literature and is considered as degrading.

You should consult the following books for disorders and therapies:
1. Abnormal Psych by Comer OR Neale and Davison
2. Clinical Psych by Gotlib OR Trull

@ Sehrishkhan

Internet is not always a good source of knowledge especially for a novice. You are advising an individual to consult therapies from the internet who has not the expert technical knowledge to assess the validity of internet based knowledge. Internet should only be supplemented with the knowledge from the expert technically sound books.

You are of the view that therapies need not be prepared in detail. This is a grave mistake to assume in css exam that a specific area or topic should not be prepared in detail. One has to prepare all the topics in detail if one wants to fetch really good marks.

These are my humble views. One has the right to disagree.

Regards.
