Yes its also possible. The term used in psychology for this phenomena is mental retardation. Mental retardation can be defined as: A condition characterized by significant limitations both in intellectual functioning and in conceptual, social and practical adaptive skills. Mental retardation occurs in 1 to 3 percent of the whole population. |
Multiple Intelligence
The theory of multiple intelligences was proposed by Howard Gardner in 1983 to more accurately define the concept of intelligence and to address the question whether methods which claim to measure intelligence (or aspects thereof) are truly scientific. whereas; Mental retardation Mental retardation is a condition diagnosed before age 18 that includes below-average general intellectual function, and a lack of the skills necessary for daily living. |
Actually there is no proper definition of intelligence.Every person has different definition of intelligence.
Basically,Intelligence is measured by IQ(Intelligence Quotient) Mental Retardation: Mental retardation is a condition diagnosed before age 18 that includes below-average general intellectual function, and a lack of the skills necessary for daily living IQ < 70 before 18 years of age is a mentally retarded person.Nobody can say that he/she possesses no or zero intelligence. There are different categories based on IQ levels.
