Time required to cover Psychology?
After getting hurt by Indopak,I have decided to replace it with Psychology. Before asking questions, let me clear one thing that I have studied it in my graduation and I have very keen interest in it.Infact to be a psychologist was my craze, got admission in M.sc psychology but couldn't do due to accommodation problem.Well, that time has passed
Last year I wanted to opt it but in December I skipped it and opted Indopak History on suggestion of someone though I had least interest in it.Now the result of Indopak gave me an excuse to skip it so I have decided to opt Psychology this time. When one has to suffer, why not in subject of one's interest ? Like as Urdu aah Urdu My questions are; 1)How much time it will take ?(please keep in mind my background,I mean you can consider me "half prepared".) 2)Feldman for paper 1,what for paper two ? 3)specific book for mcqs ? 4)Do you think I can cover it easily ?Is it better choice than Indopak ? Any tips for this subject ? |

Based on my experience I would recommend only 2 books for psychology i.e.
-Psychology and Life by Zimbardo (strongly recommended) -Abnormal Psychology by Neale and Davison (only a few select chapters) I personally didn’t feel the need to consult any other book as these two books cover everything including MCQs. Psychology as a subject is definitely a better choice than IndoPak History and I myself replaced IPH with Psychology and considering your background you won’t take too much time to cover the subject. Good Luck. |

So, owing to the time constraints I chose only topics from the past 10 year papers. If you pick up the past papers you would notice that there is a similar pattern and there are topics that are repeated frequently. |

@ Farah
It is a very easy subject. If you see the syllabus of Psychology, you will come to know that Paper 1 is very easy. If your concepts are clear then you can easily get maximum marks. Paper 2 mostly deals with disorders. Its hard to memorize their types, symptoms etc. The easiest method to memorize these disorders is to write all types of a particular method in a table form. Then write all other details in single word under each heading. It will ease your task. Last year I prepared Psychology in 5 days and scored 71 & 63 marks. I haven't any background of psychology. With only little effort you can get maximum marks.
