Good work, but why one should go through such rigorous process when these topics have been very precisely explained in zimbardo's book??

There are only three schools, Structuralism Functionalism and Gestalt. Rest are perspectives not schools.

dear mujtaba ,
though you are senior member but i really have doubt on ur senority.
i think before outrightly rejecting any point ist one has to make some standard search and must read some standard text.

if you study Maccionios or horton and hunt famous sociology books you come to know that these people have mentioned
structuralism
functionalism
symbolic interactionism

as

sociological perspectives. furthermore, psychoanalysis , behaviourism gestalt, humanism are school of thoughts

i am not rejecting that these are not school of thoughts these are known as early school of thoughts .

but the constructive base of psychology was laid by he modern school of thoughts which were mentioned by me and also part of the syllabus

i m recommending few sites and you must consult:

1. I do not need medal for seniority. Do not take it personally

2. I have studied Zimbardo book in which he mention only three schools and rest as perspective. Janab Check it again in Feldman book he did not mention modern perspective in schools. You can check.
3. We are talking about Psychology not Sociology, it is also not my subject.
4. I did not outrightly reject your view, you can carry on with it.

According to Zimbardo 's book
Perspective:
Psychologists perspective determine the way in which they examine behaviour and mental processes.

hhahahaahhaahha
i am not taking it personal
i just mentioned that you are saying that " these are not school of thoughts and there are only three schools of thoughts "

i was saying if you go through these sources you could come to know .

furthermore Zimbardo's book is not the bilbe for psychology. he mentioned what you is right , but there re other books and sources are too and take decisions according to the rule of majority of authority
