Default Help needed for Functionalism

Dear seniors and fellows,

I was studying Psychology from two books, Feldman and Bourne Ekstrand but I didnt find the methods used in Functionalist perspective.

If any one know the METHODS USED BY FUNCTIONALIST ( as introspection was used by structuralists) kindly share it with me as well as all others.

Apart from this if there is any source where we can learn the METHODS USED FOR STUDYING BEHAVIOR and MENTAL PROCESSES by BEHAVIORIST, GESTALT PSYCHOLOGISTS, and other relative schools of thought will be highly praised.

Help is needed!

The focus of functionalists was on how behavior actually works to help people live in their environment. Functionalists utilized methods such as direct observation. While the structuralists sought to break down mental processes into their smallest parts, the functionalists believed that consciousness existed as a more continuous and changing process.
