Default Attitude

HOW MUCH WE LIKE OR dislike something has much to do with determining our behaviour toward that something.WE TEND toapproch seekout or be assoicated wih things we like,we avoid things we do not like.ATTITUDE ARE simply expression of the how much we like or dislike various things.SUBSTATIONAL events suggest that attitude have an imporant influence on the adoption of behaviour, however the relationship between behaviour and attitude is complex.THE ATTITUDE influence behaviour with two factors, perception of social norm, that my friend think that i should dothis, and belief about one personal ability to perfome the specific behaviour.

Default Prejudice

IS AS ThE NAME IMPLIES,the process of prejudging something.IT IMPLIES coming to a judgement on a subject before learning where the prepounderance of the evidance actually lies,or forming a judgement witout direct experience.HOLDING THE politically unpopular view is not in itself prejudice, and politically powerfull views are not necessarily free from prejudice.WHen APPLIED TO social groups, prejudice generally refers to the existing bias towards the members of such groups, often based on social streotypes;and at its most extreme ,results in group being denied benefits and rights unjustly, unfairly showing unwarrented favors toward others.

THIS IS DIFFERENT from viewpoints accumlated through direct life experience, which are neither prejudiced, cotinued or necessarily inscitintive:they are not prejudgement but post judgement.SOME ARGUE that all politically based views are the result of sufficient life experience, this however provoke he question that how much life experience is required before a point of view.JUDGEMENT BASED on experience maybe, however be coloured by prejudice.

FALLOUS EXTENSION of one own negative past experience to the general case can be harmful;it cn be termed bias,if person has devloped the concept that mmbes of one group have certain charactics because of the sour past experiences ith tha members of that group he may persume that all members of the groups has such characterscitis, thusbadoptingthe prejudice.IN otHER CASES it may be the matter of early education, peoples taught tht certai attitudes are the correct ones, may form opinion witout weighing the evidence on both sides of the given question with no malic intend on the child part.

SOCALIGIST HAVE termed prejudice an ADAPTIVE BEHAVIOUR.BIASED views are necessary at time forhuman survival,we do not always have time to form the legtimate view about a potential foe, before adopting the definsive stance, that could save our lifes.CONVERSELY, prejudice is non-adaptive,when it interfere wih survival and well-being.

DIFFERENT OPInIonS,of what constitute prejudice can prompot us to reconsider our views, with an emphasies on self understanding.someone criticizig another person as being prejudice in itself sometimes involve the pre-judging very person being criticized.
