But we have learnt from so many seniors and CSPs telling us DON'T TRY TO ATTEMPT 3 THINGS IN THE PAPER.

1: schools of thought.
2: theories
3: short notes.

what to deal with?

actually the question of school of thoughts/ approaches/perspective can be tricky as there seems difference of opinion among the writers. in some books six approaches are given and in some books up to 9 approaches. this may be the reason why seniors had told you not to attempt this question. the only question i feared from was "determinants of perception" as i could not find the determinants from any book but from an online source

in the 1st paper, i attempted Freud's psychoanalytic theory. i cannot think of any reason why should the theories question be avoided and regarding short notes the maximum marks of any question are 5 . if you answer the question according to the requirement, there are chances of scoring 5/5 marks in it.

First, i want to congratulate you guys for graet performance in psychology. I do not want to take anything away from anybody. You all must have done great job.
On the other hand it is a good reply to those who say that it is irrelevant to say that some subjects are scoring and others are not. I hope this post will shut such sane voices once and for all. How come one believe that those who opted pyshology were all real intellectuals and perfectually prepared, atleast their score show. On the other hand those unlucky guys/girls who opted subjects like US history and Muslim Law in CE 2012 were moslty goof and poory prepared. Same was done with precis paper this year which robbed many of their just rewards and it generously rewarded people in CE 2010 when people scored in 90s and this list of target killing and undue rewarding goes really long.

I understand level of difficuly can be variable form one year to other but atleast optional subjects should be dealt at equal footing
FPSC! What havoc you are playing with Candidates? Such prestigious and high profile exam should be a level playing field.

dear fellows, i focused on writting expressively and extensively. And it paid off. i havnt gone through many books. I hv read Benjamin Lahey's book 'introduction to psychology', some notes and used internet resources. In 2010, i got 130 only. This time 41 marks were added. Thankx to Almighty.

i used to study from the library books so cant recall all of them. the best ones, i found, are "understanding psychology by Robert Feldman, psychology -themes and variations by Weiten and understanding psychology by Morris and Maisto.

Dear im studying from Morgan and King's book but most syllabus topics are not included in it.
And Wyne and Wieten book is not available in all shops of peshawar.
is there any alternative to cover those missing topics from anywhere else like DETERMINATION OF PERCEPTION needs, attitudes, sets, suggestions etc...

Raja Gujral Wednesday, October 17, 2012 07:38 PM

Paper of Psychology was more than easy in 2012. Its not a big achievement to score high in such easiest paper , I have ever come across. In fact, it was not up to the minimum level that must be there to check the understanding of subject by the candidate.

i also faced this problem last year and this was a source of great nuisance as i found no book covering this topic. however, from web sources i managed to prepare the question. The following article is written from organizational behavior perspective but i hope you shall find it useful.
