1)You should have interest in it,background doesn't matter.
2)You should focus on conceptual understanding.

You should give at least two months for proper preparation.

Yes,Psychology is good option.Rest depends upon "jitna gurr daalo gy,utna meetha ho ga"

As said by FARAH. it depends on how you deal with the subject, because no one have background in all subjects. so study it with concentration and make a to the point and good prepared study plan .

I must recommend you to go through these books:
1. Introduction to Psychology by Morgan and King
2. Psychology and Life Gerrig, J. Richard

These books have written in good and to the point language structure that helps new peoples to understand the subject:

however I also recommend you to through these links and try to cover these questions of past papers, it will be great for you.

Are you going to appear 2013..? & to me.. you should also consult jahangirs top 20 question series books & exam cram or MCQS book of psychology..JSS (Jahangir success series..) but books you have bought are good ones make notes from them of most important & most expected questions should be prepared from shahrbanos book.

Good Luck..

If you want to study to point and according to syllabus then do not read whole book, as it will consume much time. Therefore, I suggest you to study according to past papers only read those topics, which has came in past. for important topics and question follow the links that i had mentioned in my previous post.

Take guidance from VU video lectures. First clear all concept from there and then solve past papers. VU psychology notes are available in pdf.
