CS, US, CR and UR....!
Dear colleagues,
please give me single line definition of conditioned response, uncoditioned response, conditioned and unconditioned stimulus. could not grab the logic of these terms from book. please help me in simple words. |
CS : Conditioned stimulus associated with any material object like bell . if example we provide meat to the dog with the ringing bell then it will be conditioned stimulus and salivation will be CR conditioned response .
if we talk about natural process then while providing meat to the dog salivation will be there UC stimulus without any condition of the bell so it will be UC RESPONSE . understand this concept with pavlov experiment of dog saliva with the ringing bell and meat . |
US:
The stimulus that elicits an unconditioned (Natural/neutral) response. CS: The stimulus (previously natural/neutral) that elicits conditional response. UR: The response that occurs as a result of neutral stimulus. CR: The response that occurs as a result of pairing the neutral stimulus with an conditional stimulus. |
