Dear,
Genetics is all about heredity. Genes and DNA record the information from generation to generation. As far as the pattern of heredity is concerned, it differs from disease to disease. For instance, for Colour blindness, the pattern is criss cross. From mother to son and father to daughter. However, the genetic diseases are chromosome specific. e.g. X-linked diseases will be transferred through X-chromosome and so on. However, X-linked diseases are more expressed in men than in women.
