Default New To Psychology!

Hello EveryOne!
By reviewing Past Papers of this subject I've decided to opt this subject for '14 attempt But i don't know how do i start its preparation??
Kindly Help Me in selection of Books and making a Study Plan.
And One More Confusion is this that The Books recommended in the Sticky Thread(Recommended Books by CSPs) are quite different from those which are mentioned in FPSC Syllabus.
Regards.

Place the syllabus and past papers in front of you and start preparing topic by topic .. When you have finished a topic, look at the previously asked questions on that particular topic and find out if you can answer all of them .. If any of the areas is missing and is important then cover it too ..

It is always best to study from FPSC's recommended books .. However, this is not the case with Psychology as it looks like FPSC hasn't updated its recommended book list for decades and those books are now out-dated as most of them are hardly found even in patent book shops ..

Here are the sources I would recommend:
1- Psychology by Saundra K Ciccarelli ..
2- Feldman or Introduction to Psychology by Morgan and King ..

Saundra and any of the other two books are more than enough .. If you still find any difficulty regarding any topic, you can visit the following website as awesome material on psychology is available there:

http://psychology.about.com/

You can also email Kendra Cherry on this website (She's an expert on Psychology) .. She's a very nice person and is generally very helpful if you ask properly .. Alternatively, you can sign up for her newsletters and she'll email you the important stuff every week ..

Best of luck ..

PS: I shall share 'All About Psychology' after June InshaAllah ..

Regards ..
