I wouldnt rate CE-2013 paper as destructive...You need to grasp the concepts rather than cramming, thats it...
P.S:Its has a future ...

Although I have opted it as one of my optionals, I guess it will prove to be destructive for the next 2 or 3 years..... Important thing is stick to your guns and fight like a warrior...

I have also opted psychology but dont know why i feel that for upcoming few years this subject would not give much score because It is being opted by 70% candidates of CSS and It has remained the policy of FPSC since past that the subject which is opted by most of the candidates is given tough time... So best of luck to all aspirants.

CE-2013 was the paradigm shift in the previous trend CSS papers. FPSC discourage the trend of favourite subjects by changing the previous pattern of the paper(s). The best strategy to cope with this situation is to focus on the basic concepts of science subjects. For arts subjects one must develop the argumentative and analytical skills.

If you have no educational background of Psychology, then you should first consult 'Psychology By Sher Bano'. For CSS perspective, Psychology by Ali Ajmal is the best option. Although, Psychology by Robert S. Feldman is a comprehensive book but it is not written as per CSS exam’s requirement.
The best strategy is to focus on the basic concepts and theories of Psychology. You must develop your interest in the subject. During reading you may highlight the important points which will help you in quick review of any topic. Make outline/synopsis of all questions and elaborate them accordingly. Practice diagrams/sketches and draw diagrams/sketches in your answer wherever possible. You must prepare your "Quick Review Notes". The notes must be consulted before examination as you will have no more time to read/study whole syllabus.

Regards,
