Psychology books

I have "themes & Variations" by Wayne Weitin. Is there any better book for psychology. Any suggestions??

Themes and Variations is pretty good though I suggest you combine it with another book. I suggest two books for every 100 marks, it adds to your knowledge and helps you gather more opinions which now is a must have, given the recent trend of CSS exams

I suggest you choose from either Rakhshanda Shahnaz or Zarrin Bukhari, as local authors write in more detail. Themes and VAriations will help you understad the basics

Only 1 book for newbies, only 1.
Feldman or Wayne weiten , both are good.
Considering the trend in psychology , there is no guarantee that even by studying 2 books , one can feel at home.
However , going through two books, and revision of each is an ordeal of proportions.

Dear Madam Talat told her students to refer Themes & Variations' 8th or lower Edition as latest editions don't have much of our syllabus rather they are research based..

You don't necessarily need to go through the two or more books again and again if you can prepare your short notes from those, so don't worry about going through two or more books while studying any subject and do try to prepare your own notes....

Still , reading two books and preparing notes from them shall consume two months at least . Secondly , notes are always a bet, as you are leaving the original source for your own notes, the quality of which is doubtful at most.

I shall again advice all those candidates who are taking the exam for first time , that only one book Feldman or Wayne weiten should be sufficient .
