Default books

Just select one book, which you feel covers the whole syllabus and is easy to understand. One book for one subject is enough.
Good luck

Default Writing lengthy answers..

Should we consider some specific length for the answer or writing according to knowledge will help also??Along with that I want to ask that either writing too long will affect our marks in both ways or not??

Dear keep in mind you have to answer according to the question. Suppose if the question is...explain theories of Attitude formation and what are its drawback?
you have to present the theories and then drawbacks. Length of question depends on your knowledge also. But don't give extra details that are not required in the question.

Can someone please confirm that the above mentioned chapters are included and we can skip these chapters:

Chapter 2-Psychological Research
Chapter 5-States of Consciousness
Chapter 7-Memory
Chapter 8-Cognition & Language
Chapter 11-Sexuality and Gender
Chapter 14-Health Psychology (Stress, Coping & Well Being)

Apart from that, I have also bought Jehangir's books for Psychology written by Tayyab and another by Ali Ajmal i.e. Top 20 Questions. The 20 questions book seems good but still I would prefer to study from Feldman and then revise from Top 20 Questions book. I also considered Themes and Variations by Wayne and Weiten but I think it is lengthy and not suitable for my taste so I decided to go with Understanding Psychology by Feldman 10th Edition.

Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

Dear if you look at the course outline provided by FPSC you will come to know that chapters like health, stress are not included. Past papers, even, don't include questions from these chapters. But you know in civil service you can expect anything :-)
Only Psychological research you have to prepare from the chapters you mentioned.
you should prepare from Fieldman first and then move to Jehangir book.

Thanks a lot bro.. So I will include Research (Chapter 2) for studying. I think I will cover the syllabus only as I am extremely short on time and need to finish two more 100 marks subjects by 20th December so that I get enough time for revision.

How about Psychology by David G Myers? I think it is highly recommended and might be better than Weiten and Feldman.
