My score in Punjabi in CSS 2010 was 81. It took me 15-20 days to prepare for it.

i have no background of punjabi, neither i can read nor i can write. how long would it take to learn it and cover the text so to be able to score good.

did you use poetic verses in attempting punjabi poetry portion? how did you cram-up the poetry? it seems very difficult to me

Yes, punjabi poetry section is incomplete without poetic verses. I wrote quite a few ashars while answering relevant questions. Try to understand the meaning of the verse, and then memorize it. It seems difficult but once you have spent some time reading and memorizing it, it will become easier. The following website may be helpful for punjabi preparation:
