Wow.. i read all replies. and at the end i concluded that i should take pashto as opt. buh some one (an Ex css competitor) told me that dont ever try Languages paper likewise pashto, sindhi etc. Now on im confused. just like Waqar i cant even read it fluently. and i dint ever try to write pashto in my life. i know now its a scoring Sub. Any suggestion for me will be appriciated.
My opt sub ll be 1) Business Admin 2)Sociology 3)Muslim law and juris 4)Pashto (if i get positive suggestion) 5)(Didnt decide 5th one yet) Regards Kamal

CSS or otherwise
Salamona Wronro...!!!
Well i got through all the threads ....am appearing in css2010 myself inshallah... kher the bottomline is .. Pukhto is a very easy optional. Those of you who have heard that "it is not a scoring" subject should give it a second thought. it is a scoring subject. obviously mostly it will depend upon luck. khu a little bit hard work would pay you off inshallah. Secondly i know a Hindko Speaking guy who appeared in Pukhto Paper and scored 70+. So if you are a pukhtoon it should not a problem inshallah. Thirdly, right now i am on a job in karachi. i recently got the books for Pukhto (Pohana and Pukhto Mataluna) couriered from Pekhawar. two days into reading only and i have been able to grab the fundamentals of pukhto writing. i mean it is easy. Practice a bit before your start going for css syllabus material. Last but not the least Css is a gamble. even if you don't qualify, atleast you will be able to communicate better and write your mother tongue. that is the most important consideration i thought of when i chose pukhto as my optional. |

Umar, what are you planning to read from Pohana, heard that one has to be very selective?

I gave the papers a thorough read and realised that even if one studies Khushal khan khattak and rehman baba that would be enuff.....
