@ Sna Shah
You can start from Pushtu alphabets, first of you get used to these alphabets and then start writing complete sentences. You can buy Pushtu textbooks of class 1/2 and then start writing. you will be comfortable within couple of weeks. As far as books for the said subject are concern you can consult "Pohanna" plus A book on Rehman baba by dost muhammad kamil and a book on Khushal khan by the same author plus a book of mcqs " DA PAKHTO MAROOZI SAWALOONA"
I scored 51 in 2012(the examiners have tightened the screws this time) but this time it has been a relatively low scoring subject as i was expecting something around 70. still i am going to opt it for 2013 as well. Regards |

I am just having one Pohanna book, and I hope it would cover, just trying to do smart work rather than hard word, not going to go for starting alphabets and stuff, rather trying to get hands on complete words and sentences as dont have like a year to prepare for it. So now, Let me try to explain how I am going to deal with the paper over all: We have to attempt five questions as far as I know, First question of objectives is compulsory, second and third questions are of English to Pashto and Pashto to English. So at the end what we are left with is, this two questions only, in which we have to write Pashto in our own pace. So now we are left with only two questions, or I may say two Subjective type questions. If we look at past papers, what I found is that in most of the papers Rehman Baba and Khushaal khan Khattak always have separate questions or at least one of them is a must in the paper. So if you prepare these two entities perfectly, you are left with ONE question, and if you are lucky you may even get questions on both khushaal baba and Rehman baba. Otherwise however, you are left with one question, and that is all you are left to deal with in whole paper. So that shouldn't be much difficult now. So in my opinion Pashto is not that difficult to Pass! However, if you are very good in writing Pashto, then you may even choose to skip the translation questions and rather go for the subjective kind of questions, which MAY yield a bit better marks (I heard this, but not saying it with full surety!) So that is how I am going to deal with the Pashto Paper!

http://moe.gov.af/ps/page/2049 I can not even speak pashto properly. But as it is my mother language (and what a lovely language it is) I opted for it in CE2013. It did not made me feel sorry on my decision. |

@ zainab
you can opt Pushtu, as you have a lot of time, so you should start practicing writing Pushtu from now onward.
Start from alphabets, and then complete words, then sentences and so on... |
