Bro, practice pashto writing as much as you can. "Pohanna" is a valuable book available in the market which cover almost the whole course.

Brother i would suggest you not to jump directly to POHANA. Buy the basic qaida of pushto for prep class to know the basic difference b/w writing pushto and urdu.then to improve ,buy class one textbook as well and then start POHANA.....hope this will help you out......n some seniors suggest that try to avoid to do 2 translation questions,,,,go for three questions other than translation and one translation question depending upon your convenience.....as this gives more score.......BEST OF Luck and pray for our result aswell brother....

I am unable to find pashto qaida...is it availble on internet?? Secondly, you are saying the we should avoid translation question. but there are two kinds of translation namely: Pashto to English, and English to pashto??/

In my case, I would like to keep the senior suggestions on side(if they really tell people not to attempt translation), and rather go for translations, because for me carefully writing few lines is easy in Pashto in comparison to writing long answers to subjective type questions, in which I am prone to too many errors than in translation, where I can write slowly and carefully thus making less errors!
So, I think going for translation is a better solution for me. :)

I have only ten days to cover this subject and i am still confuse how to start with it. Can you tell me is there any qaida or anything else which could tell me they way to write and pronounce in easy way. I mean there should be explanation in urdu or English so i get the meaning??/

Although Pashto, being a mother language looks easy at the first glance, but detail analysis of the paper suggests it's a tricky one. I think to be able to cover the subject honestly, one should at least know how to write it, be it partially filled with mistakes. But remember we'll be sitting in a competitive exam, where we are expected to follow certain standards.

I have personally no idea of books as such, but I guess if you just go to some large book store, they would be able to guide you better about it.

But since you seems more worried about Alphabets and their pronunciation, I guess you can get that information from internet easily, e.g following link has the alphabets along with the pronunciation in English, so hopefully would make it easier for you to understand:

Or if you search for Pashto Alphabets, I hope you would be able to find some more links like this one, from where you can learn the Pashto alphabets. I hope it would do the work of Qaida for you!

I have bought two book( other than pohna) namely:

1. Pashto Urdu bol chaal written by Khan abdul kareem khan, publisher Sabir press Lahore.

2. Pashto Urdu bol chaal by Amaanat khan Arif, publisher Usman publication.

Tell me seniors, are these books good for basic leanings???
