Sociology needs very little preparation time and is very easy to grasp, even for beginners. I prepared it in only 8 days. The maximum time it will take is around 15 days.

Did it? I can't imagine Sociology, of all the subjects in the world, taking a month. Maybe you picked it because of its reputation. This has happened to me with history. I think its all about what really clicks. For me, it was Criminology and Sociology that set my tone. Took 20 days to cover them both. After that I slowed down with Science and IR.

I picked it because of interest and I could write on social issues comfortably but it exhausted me. On the other hand I am going pretty fast with IR unexpectedly as with current speed I am going to complete IR part 1 on 30th of this month, in a total of 12 days. (It that is counted as fast or may be IR 1 generally take less time, I am not sure about it)

You have made good time with IR-1. Good on you. It will probably take me a little longer.
Though I would like your opinion on something:
What do you think of Governance and Public Policy?
Do you think English Literature is that difficult that people actively try to avoid it?
I have seen the syllabus and thoroughly analyzed the past papers of both subjects. GPP seems to have a little technical touch to it and Eng. Lit. is based predominantly on commentary. I do think that if the contents are covered properly, both subjects can fetch you good marks.
I am trying to change a couple of optionals from my first attempt and would like your opinion on this.

GPP looks technical but as compare to what? Generally we choose among subjects after analyzing their aspects relatively, not absolutely. Which subjects do you want to replace?

Regarding literature I think it will be a risk for anyone who is not a literary person, in the same way as attempting a literary essay in Essay paper. Besides, the syllabus looks lengthy to me.
May be someone with a background in literature can give better opinion but this is what I think.

Well, I am replacing US History. I know it may seem odd but I can't cram at all. I just understand the concepts and make notes. US history, unfortunately, doesn't offer that luxury. I cannot seem to figure out a method to prepare it soundly. I have replaced it with GPP.
I am thinking of replacing Environmental Science with Literature but that may depend on some guidance and opinion of those who have taken it in the last five years.
I know replacing Environmental Science with Literature seems like suicide but I want to entertain this notion based on my personal abilities and evaluation of past papers.
