for sociology u can use sociology by HORTON and HUNT , this book is really helpful for developing basics of sociology and for sociological theories u can use sociology by SHANKAR RAO

@ Zoyee

Horton and Hunt; is Authority on Sociology.
It is best book and recommended for BS Social Sciences at SZABIST.
And it almost cover whole CSS syllabus.

sociology by jj machionis is one of the best reference book +some local author

I would also recommend Horton and Hunt. But it is relatively volumnious book and sometimes it is hard to cover all the book during exams. For a shorter version please see Sociology by Abdul Hameed Tiga. He has just summarized Horton and Hunt.
