Well the point is that it's good to read as much as you can on a subject, the book that you have linked up there does cover some of the topic that are seen in CSS papers, I can't comment on the quality of the content as I haven't read them but there is a general rule, why not to stick with the standard reference books that most people here have recommended, used themselves and scored decent in Sociology. I think the books by Horton and Hunt is a very useful one to follow and and to add some local flavor to your concepts, you may find Javed Jiskani's book helpful. Once you have read these most recommended books, it's up to you what other sources you want to employ. All the best.
