Default One Book Recommendation
Brilliant Minds,

I am a new comer to this group. I need suggestions regarding books for the preparation for the CSS. I am opting for Sociology.

Kindly suggest just one book as I dont have time to go through alots of books. I also know that there must not be just a single book to cover all the syllabus but in that case name the book which you believe would cover the most of it. I am already doing a job from 8-5 daily and can only utilize my weekends for it.

Your valuable inputs will be highly appreciated.

J J Jaskani's book is very short and is written in notes forms, however to understand the concepts better you need to go thorough "Sociology" by Taga.

The book is written in Pakistani context and I found it good for my CE 2011. But the key of the success is that study the subject matter and keep your eyes and mind open to related the matter in your surroundings and society.

can anyone further elaborate that which is the better book among the following and why? i mean i need to prepare sociologists, community, social and cultural change and problems of pakistan. i have read horton and hunt but could not find this stuff good ( i mean pertinent to pakistan) so which of the following books should i go for:
book by tagga?
by iqbal chaudhy?
j j baloch?
or by khurram niazi?

lease suggest me as i have started socio and am unable to decide.
