Score in sociology 2012?
 

Heard that unlike previous years, Sociology didnt do well in 2012?

Your hearsay could only be certified genuinely after the final results of aspirants(sociology selecters) to be admeasured with c,s,p seats of ce-2012. Failed candidates are bummed out due to bootless score in sociology , this abortive result do not let them expose.sociology score here in this thread. For most even their result doesn't contribute to get aggregate passing score I.e 600. Nevertheless there have been a few failed superceders of 600, scoring beyond even 700., who have an attractive sociology result mostly.But the story of sociology score is not yet over . For your ephemeral satisfaction, failed dmc thread in ce-2012 section of this forum is well suited. The rest will be obvious after the dmc of final heroes of ce-2012. May God keep the sociology trend consummate, & many would have done well in sociology inshallah. Ameeeeeeeen

yes, this year sociology has been low scoring but the exam had some new questions, so one should not leave subject due to its trend of low scoring in just one year, try to retain the subject and cover those aspects which have been asked in the exam in 2012 and you will do fine. Replacing a subject which you have studied and even taken its exam is not a wise decision instead try to improvise and differentiate.

yes i agree ths year score is low .i thnk it depens on examiner .i was expecting more than 65 but got only 47 .:angry:lets see next time , i will nt replace it

54 marks with preparation of jahangir exams cram 20 question.I think MCQs were the worst part of paper.

now i am consulting a book deeply.

Jehengir cram series kai notes sirf revision kai liye read kia karo, exam ke preparation kai liye ao "An introduction to sociology" by A.Hameed taga parh lo. i read the same book and got 62 in 2012.

I have got my fingers crossed but as observed from failed candidates dmc thread, the result is encouraging. Hopefully I will secure good marks INSAHALLAH....:vic

i got 45 in sociology

i studied abdul hamid taga's book along with horton and hunt's and also listened lectures by VU and scored 43....:wacko::wacko::wacko:

i would recommend that before reaching on any conclusion about marking trend of sociology you must wait for the final result of passed contenders.

i got 33....

i just read few topics of sociology from jj baloch book and b4 paper my friend just told me about emile durkhiem and one and two other researchers... i believe one can get good marks just by using sociological terms while handling qs... i had no knowledge about it but even then i managed to pass.. but shocking news is that the friend who has done masters in sociology and b4 paper who guided me got 20 marks....so prepare well and i wish best of luck to all my friends here... 49 i think attempting questions of general approach and current questions comparatively pays rich dividends.

i secured deservedly 49. its true socilogy went low scoring not because of discrimnatpry or prejudiced assessment but because of tough mcq's and typical questions in the subjective portion.Consulting css oriented sociology books with smart study is the only panacea.Here are the books
1 Sociology Abdullah Khurram Niazi
2 Sociology Horton and Hunt
3 Social Problems of pakisatn Dr Mohammad Khalid
4 Sociology Muhammad Ali

i got deservedly 49. I am satisfied with my score.The 2012 sociology paper was bit typical especially the mcq's portion Thus contributing to low score gaining.I dont belive that the assessment was biased in 2012.

63 nothing just read the notes which has been given by my academy. & i have done the paper in 2 hours.but my objective papers was pathetic:))

Is a subject slaughtered for once or consecutive 3 years?

For experiment, sociology is a good subject. In a nutshell, try to avoid sociology, because it has become a very uncertain subject. you can think about journalism, regional languages etc.
