Default Marx's labor theory of value @ theory of class conflict

Hi
I wanted to know are the two theories of Marx, in any way, overlapping from the vjewpoint of exam? I mean if the question comes about the labor theory of value, do we have to write the entire class conflict theory too or would hinting about it and giving a bit of touch be enough and more focus should be on labor theory of value?
