Ibn e khaldoon theory of Asabiyah????
 

I am studying this topic from Hameed thagga's book, but he has repeated the same points again and again,so i am unable to comprehend it, can anyone plz eleborate this theory and its main features??

According to Ibn-e-Khaldun, Asabiyah is a sort of solidarity among people in a group. This is what he meant to be a cohesive force that binds people together especially those who were not city dwellers but passed their lives struggling hard to sustain, like Bedouin people.

Asabiyah was weak in city dwellers because they had become comfort-loving and could obtain all the needs of life with ease e.g. water, food etc.

The people with strong Asabiyah were able to conquer cities and become rulers, and by the time of their second or third generation, they also become comfort-loving and their Asabiyah was lessened. Thus, they were again overrun by people with strong Asabiyah.

Ibn-e-Khaldun used the concept of Asabiyah to explain the rise and fall of dynasties and conquests of civilized states by barbarians.
