sociology 2014 worst ever!!!
 

my experience in sociology paper of 2014 was worst ever. initially, i thought that invigilators have handed wrong paper to me,i m thinking seriously to change this subject next year but again a thought comes to me that this may prove to be fruitful next year, you are requested to kindly share your own experience and give your valuable opinion regarding this subject.

paper was not difficult; just language was difficult. Those who knew the meaning of burgeoning, manouvered, and mind construction(socialisation) could easily solve the paper.

I think the difficulty did not involve the meaning of difficult words.Most of the questions like security as a social construct,education- factor of development,mind construction and education policy role etc--- all these required Novel and subjective analysis and opinions.Improvised answers were needed.all this demanded lot of time and brainstorming and were quite unexpected.Further mcq's were a mixture of sociology,philosophy,social work and anthropology.All these factors would contribute to low score in sociology this year in the range between 40-60.

i think paper was bit difficult as it was slightly different from past papers.People with psychology background could attempt it easily.
And one thing more....analyticals papers are more scoring than same traditional cramming scene.
So hope for the best :)

Well said, the students with psychology background can identify certain pattern and overlapping course material in sociology and psychology.

on the other hand if someone attempts the paper, giving a little bit touch of psychology then the impression on the examiners is pretty much different then those students who have attempted the paper in regular/classical fashion
