Dear Raz , thanks a lot for taking out time and verifying the answers

there appears to be a minute difference between stereotyping and projection
below i m pasting definitions of both, sorry but i lost the exact source of these definitions but i gathered those from someones power point presentation to students

Stereotype
using attributes commonly associated with a group to an individual.

Projection
occurs when we assign our personal attributes to other individuals. Some call this the “similar-to-me” error.

comments are awaited

Brother:

Actually, I won’t have selected stereotyping if the term “projection” would have been picked from the standard terminology of the concerned subject. Each field has got its distinguishing terminology and in public administration / communication / behavioral studies term “projection” is not used apparently. If you have any reliable book which quotes “projection” in this sense then you are cent per cent right.

Based on the above logic the nearest answer was stereotyping.

Halo effect: When we perceive any body in the context of any single trait /attribute and that single trait / attribute dominates his whole personality perception.

Helicopter factor: Skill to win over the situation. A breakthrough element.

Dear Brother Raz following are two excerpts
from " Behavioural Science in Medicine " by Barbara Fadem
published by Lippincott williams & Wilkins

"Projection____ basically a defence mechanism______ attributing ones's own personally unacceptable feelings to others, can be associated with psychopathology such as paranoia or even with common prejudice"

similar in meaning but different in words definition about projection can also be found in
Kaplan & Sadock's
Comprehensive textbook of Psychiatry
Eighth Edition

Projection is 'the tendency to see one's own personal traits in other people', therefore projection seems to be the right answer, (This definition is from the book The Leadership Experience By Richard Daft)
