i dont think that if they are asking for analytical approach , then one is not required to jot down hadiths and verses...i must say that craming them is not easy as u have mentioned...

Even if one have sound analytical judgments as your answers, one has to porvise valid grounds for that...and that needs the citation of verses and hadiths as well...otherwise it will be like talking in the air and unimpressive...

This new trend in papers is very well appreciated but it is the responsibility of the FPSC to change the syllabus accordingly...CSS is a game of nerves, and is not a piece of cake... hence we need proper guidancelines for our preparation, and in my humble opinion nobody will have objection afterwards...

wish you all goodluck..

Volume 4, Book 53, Number 325:
Narrated 'Aisha:
(mother of the believers) After the death of Allah 's Apostle Fatima the daughter of Allah's Apostle asked Abu Bakr As-Siddiq to give her, her share of inheritance from what Allah's Apostle had left of the Fai (i.e. booty gained without fighting) which Allah had given him. Abu Bakr said to her, "Allah's Apostle said, 'Our property will not be inherited, whatever we (i.e. prophets) leave is Sadaqa (to be used for charity)."

fay or mal fai is booty gained without fighting
while booty is mal e ghaneemat
so answer is a fay

sabt sabath is used for
christians the day of sunday etc
Sabbath or a sabbath is generally a weekly day of rest and/or time of worship that is observed in Abrahamic religions and other faiths

Even last year the Islamiat paper was similar to this one and people got good marks in it. But there should be 4 questions of 20 marks each instead of 5, because it gets too lengthy. Its a test of knowledge and not of writing speed.

Default My personal Experiance of ISL-2010

Salam to all fellows.

When i saw the paper after completing my objective portion , i was also surprised, but soon i realise that, non of any question from such ISLAMIC point of view in which i can use Al-Quranic Ayat or Hadeth..... Despite my preparation was in URDU, i decided to slove this paper in English because i consider it a mixture of Current Affair + Sociology paper with referance to Islamiat.
