OMG!!!!
Its drop-dead tricky!!

Can anyone tell me which books to consult for the objective portion????The book by dogar has only very few of these mcqs.Which are the other ones????????

What I meant is that only few of the mcqs in the 2010 paper are there in dogar's book.Isn't it??Which books are we supposed to consult then??

i think maulana shibli seerat un nabi
no seriously in its one edition, read from the birth of THE PROPHET,his life and other events till death,it will improve your islamic education and most of the objective will be easy
islamiat will be more easy

So finally there are people who think that it was really hard to cite Al-hadits and Quranic Ayas. As far as i believe, the paper was more about giving logics about the teachings of Islam and once we start jotting the logics it automatically fits in to real world scenario. So to me it was more like bringing out the implication of Islamic teachings not the repetition of already stated "words".
I attempted paper, keeping in mind as if I am talking to some non-muslim and proving him the teachings of Islam through logics and scientific justifications (where required)

and for that matter you don't need only books, i think if you have watched the islamic talk shows (by Ghamdi or may be Prof. Zakir naik) that would really help in making good logics.

*This is how i perceived this paper*

well, for sure I have read the philosophy of Islam (that is of some personal concern).

About the difference between IR and Islamiat- You never talk about your own religious perspectives in IR (IR is about theories by its subject people) but in Islamiat you do. It was the paper which wanted answers to the questions like "Allah or Quran or Muhammad (S.A.W) says this, why? and how it is fitting in today's scenario".

I think the issue in the paper of islamiat was that we were caught off guard as we r always ready to face a paper altogether different in theme from last years but such thing has come all of a sudden for the first time in islamiat and came with a bang.

It suits students who rely on logical expression and was a worst possible scenario for the students who rely heavily on ratta and try to use ayahs and hadiths in support of their answer. Here however, usage of ayahs and hadiths also involved the application of judgement adn random usage of ayahs and ahadiths on the general concepts was not possible without understanding their true spirit. This is why it seemed a paper of current affairs to many.

This is my oppinion to which u may or may not agree.

Verily, the mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety is more worthy that you stand therein (to pray). In it are men who love to clean and to purify themselves. And Allâh loves those who make themselves clean and pure (i.e. who clean their private parts with dust [which has the cleansing properties of soap) and water from urine and stools, after answering the call of nature]. (Tawbah 9:108)

This verse was sent down to not allow the Prophet (SAW) to pray in a masjid near Quba which was built by the hypocrites of Madinah as a fort against Islam.
