both papers are made as such to ignore books of local authors
de blij has answers but if read carefully and kept sharp eye
subjective paper 1 is normal and balanced
but paper 2 is more like general knowledge and current affair style
this year geography has made tough
in my centre people attempted mcqs and when see subjective leave hall in hardly 25 minutes.at about 9:55 four in front of me and 3 from one side and 3 from other side left hall
in paper 2 ,there was a great laughter in hall when people see paper
everybody looked at each other ,openly saying 2 mcq atey he yar ,1 sawal ata he
fpsc has discouraged the previous trends and followed good but strict approach
lets see what geography has under its arms this year
Allah kher karey

@SikanderHayat007

answers i posted are correct ones not attempted ones.
for paper I , i use google for answers,they are just out of blue.
but human geography mcqs were done by notes i prepared during my prep.
i studied cultural and economic geography part very well
i posted in a thread human geography by name of human geography where i posted how i see human geo syllabus and i strictly followed it.
http://www.cssforum.com.pk/css-optio...geography.html
i was criticised for misguiding or terrifying aspirants so i stopped it.it prove to be nightmare for many candidates.
only problem with this paper in exams with me was i could not revise anything at all,got only 6 hours. so i suffered.human geography paper 2 was easy one though.
hope you get what you want.
for anything else in geography part,i am here

@mangan
it is confirm what i have posted in my answers.

@ Imad Afridi

Worldwide geocaching is carried out by:

GPS

Source: The general population typically uses lightweight, handheld receivers or receivers that have been integrated into automobiles or boats. The general population uses GPS in many different ways. Surveyors use GPS to save time over standard survey methods. GPS is used in aircraft and ships for en route navigation and for airport or harbor approaches. GPS tracking systems are used to route and monitor delivery vans and emergency vehicles. In a method called precision farming, GPS is used to monitor and control the application of agricultural fertilizer and pesticides. GPS is available as an in-car navigation aid and as such, is used by vacationers and businesspeople who make frequent calls on clients or customers. Handheld GPS receivers are often used by hikers and hunters. Rescue crews use GPS to locate persons in emergency situations. A pastime known as caching or geocaching uses GPS to locate objects deliberately concealed in certain locations in an adult version of a child’s treasure hunt. GPS is also used on the space shuttle
