I would have picked three of the choices in response to the question on Waste Land: allegory, epic, none. While the poem contains some epic elements, and can be interpreted allegorically, it does not sit well in either of the categories - as it is a modernist/Symbolist poem with its "heap of broken" images.
Oh, and in my humble opinion, Greek drama fuses irony and paradox. So, again, I would have picked "none". |
