But i guess being a blogger and social media enthusiast i am better able to understand since i have faced and mitigated some of the problems that have been listed on my outline.

Yes i can see "social media" in your interests and you have made made excellent use of your knowledge. I wish such things had clicked my mind too!

My essay outline

"Modern day communication via social networks puts an end of true and sincere relationships."

Introduction

"He who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god"

Communication as a basis for society
-Verbal and non verbal communication
-evolution of language as a medium of communication
- language needed for expression and socialisation

Advent of modern means of communication
-postal system
-telegraph
-internet and email
-blogging
-microblogging

Social media
Social media thrives on our basic need to express ourselves
-facebook
-Twitter
- Orkut
- Google Plus

- laptops and hand held devices for social networking
- Social media used by people from all walks of life
- Journalists, politicians, celebrities , common man and even taliban
(here i discussed how taliban have been using twitter and social media to interact with outside world and even recruit)
-Social media used by rebels in the arab spring

Impact of Social media on our lives
-Impact on personal relations
- impact on marriage and increasing divorce rate
-impact on parent - child relationship
- growing gender gap
- Parents have no time for children
-example of woman who killed her child because he disturbed her while playing farmville
- Impact on youngsters and their behaviour
- Impact on other relations (friends/peers)
- Impact on work ethics
- increased procrastination and decreased productivity
- Relationship with neighbours
- people prefer to stay indoors decreasing their real life social activity

-Impact on personality
- increased depression
- Multiple personaities
- Pressure to keep up appearances
- loosing self confidence

Suggestions to improve this scenario

-solution lies within the individual
- role of parents in sensitising their children
- knowing how to balance life
- role of governments
- providing safe environment for people to go out without fear

Conclusion

Social media is here to stay but it depends up the individual to decide whether its benefits outweigh its cost.

I did my best, now just praying for a good result!

Thumbs down My Essay: Country Life is Better than City Life

Well, first of all, at least the Essays I prepared never came this time around. I left Women Rights and Education and that's the greatest hit I got. When few people left after 15 min, it further added to stress level .

However, I then decided NOT TO QUIT and to spend 3 hours at least by picking up a Random topic so picked up the subjected.

The outline, as far I remember, goes as under:

Intro
-Man's desire to achieve economic prosperity
-Urge to learn more and self esteem
-No attention towards personal life and depleting norms
-Two major sorts of living: country life and city life
-Population of people living in Pakistan

Merits of Country Life (opposite of which become demerits of City Life)
-Pollution free environment
-Pure diet and availability of pure water ensuring better health
-No traffic ensuring peace of mind and preventing psychological problems such as frustration, anger and anxiety
-Social bonding; gathering of marriages, deaths etc.
-Collective decision making on a common cause
-Ample time for family, friends and neighbours
-Most of the disputes resolved at internal level; quoted customs of Chopaal and Panchayat in sub-continent as example
-Joint family system
-Social norms and values are held in high esteem
-Comparatively much secure than city life

Demerits (opposite of which become merits of City Life)
-Lack of health facilities
-Inadequate educational facilities
-Under-developed infrastructure
-Economic influence on a rise
-Deprivation of facilities like gas, telephone, internet, electricity etc.
-Less job opportunities due to poor education system and lack of knowledge

Conclusion
-Both lives having pluses and minuses and have their own importance
-Varies from person to person to prefer the sort of lifestyle
-City life assists in economic development while country life upholds cultural image and projects social norms; both roles much necessary for any country
-Education, health facilities and infrastructure to be developed in country life
-People of city need to take out time for themselves, as social values are depleting rapidly
-Concluding note

Let's hope ke bachat ho jaye

Paper was a real ugly one. It seems easy but that wasn't exactly the case. The essence of CE lies not only in assessing creativity and expression but also the overall general knowledge of the candidates....
