Dont opt it with FSc knowledge . You would need to work very hard to get a decent score

@shooaib

numericals are not big issue if you have good command over physics they are just been included in exam to check whether you have sound grip and possess good knowledge in physics

You can opt with FSc knowledge , but then dont expect a good score .

numericals are mostly from Halliday Resnick (examples)
Usually , numericals are the easiest part of the paper . You only need to recall the formula and convert some units

Post Advice on opting Physics

AOA Everyone. I hold BSc Telecom Engineering degree and I have studied Physics by Haliday/Resnick/Walker in 1st semester.
One first glance, 2012 & 2013 physics paper seems doable with a little study and practice. But some of my seniors are reluctant in advising physics as optional. In their opinion, Pure technical can disappoint but pseud-technical like geography can be preferable. So I want opinion of those who attempted Physics without pure physics background like me.
Guidance will be highly appreciated. (Aspirant for 2014)

Halliday is enough for numericals ..

And many ppl with EE opted physics and scored 160+
You can do it as well . But don't expect a ppr similar to 2012/2013 PP . In 2014 the difficulty level would be similar to 2009/2011 papers. So prepare well and don't leave anything on choice
Good luck
