when i saw first glimpse of geography paper 2 , literally mujhe apni aakho pe believe nahi aaya . khayal aya perhaps God is with U .
RELATION OF QURAN AND GEOGRAPHY.
after reading that question i did brain storming of islamic ayaat regarding universe , creation of man , migration of Holy prophet etc
but really enjoyed question 1 and whole paper which was like whatever i want .

fresh water = around the world water wars over fresh water...
1) china- india
2) india- pak (over eastern rivers... and she is trying to harness KABUL river flow in pak.. which contributes 20% to indus)
3) georgia- florida- alabama
4) palestine Israel

brother as much as i know .. .it is rain that is responsible as there are so many other places where the land is of good quality mean the type of soil as u have mentioned but it is the monsoonal climate. which causes more rainfall and we all know that water is the most important factor for a good produce.... regards
