I left them altogether. I do not know about luminescence and gels. Knew little about gels. But i preferred not to say something wrong. So left them altogether. I was feeling like foot of an elephant on my chest when i had to leave these illogical and unjustified questions in the Organic Paper of CSS. He left all the organic and asked these sort of things.

What you answered about the three orbital thing in Part (a) of Question No. 2?
Thnx for your warm wishes my brother. Yup lets see what happens this time. Fingers crossed.
Anyways regarding that carbon p orbitals wala question. Well to be honest it was a straight bouncer by the examiner. Nonetheless i jus simply wrote amd drew the diagram showing why these three p orbitals r involved in hybridisation in a C atom n the electron being promoted frm 2s to a 2p orbital. Blah blah whatnot. Trust me it was indeeed a bouncer directed straight to the face.

No brother
It was not a bouncer it was a blow under the belt...........A carbon can never hybridize with p-orbitals only it must and should hybridize s orbital too as s-orbital is lower in energy than the p-orbital hence the question that why we use only 2p orbitals is wrong itself. Carbon can never hybridize without using s-orbital. It was an under the belt hit. He was asking Why on a wrong statement. I told him that Carbon always hybridizes using s-orbital first.

Also, i do not know the method by which a 2ndry alcohol oxidizes to an aldehyde. (As far as i know, 2ndry alcohol hybridizes to give ketone.

May be Fpsc made mistake in question of oxidation of secondary alcohol into aldehyde as I search this ketone is formed by secondary alcohol this is identification between primary, secondary and tertiary alcohol.

Agreeed it was deathly blow. N True that brother. Thats y i mentioned the s orbital electron being elevated to p orbital. I agreee with u to the whole hog.
N yes regarding secondary alcohols its always ketones. Even a candidate frm my centre objected to the superviser and made him call n check whether its right or wrong. But in the end it was said that its secondary alcohols so u guys have to ans its no typo error.
