Yes I do agree that 70 per cent of my essay was based on China and its progress. I did it because I believed that examiner was also expecting us to write on China as everyone has witnessed its holistic progress during the last 50 years. I think it could have been much better if I had some more time. Anyways, Umar bro what do you say about this outline. Is it worth passing outline. The length of my essay was no more than 1600 words. I included three or four quotations and my English was simple but correct.

Brother pardon me for asking. But which holistic progress is going on in China? Poverty is rampant there. Rapes are rampant. Social structure is deteriorating. Rich vs poor gap is increasing. Divorce rate is increasing. Broken families increasing. Suicide rate is increasing. And same is case with south korea. Ibn Khaldun gave theory of evolution in which he mentioned why nations decay, because they ignore a very important aspect of progress which is spiritual (nations who get rich get involved into leisure and hence decay). Holistic progress is progress taken as a whole, which includes spiritual and social progress as well. Correct me if im wrong please.

Default Short Essay

A Thing of Beauty is a Joy Forever

It is the most quotable line which has been taken from Keats’s poem ‘Endymion’. Basically, beauty has various shades of interpretation. Firstly, it is a combination of qualities that give pleasure to the senses, especially to the eye, ear and mind is called beauty. Furthermore, anything which stirs up somebody emotionally, physically or intellectually is also regarded as beauty. Therefore, this line can be comprehended by Keats’s point of view, physical charm, intellectual supremacy and spiritual enlightenment.

It would not be wrong to say that Keats sensuousness can be seen in most of his poetry. In addition, his beauty not only gives pleasure to the senses but also supplies visual imaginary to his readers. To make it more clear, he identifies beauty with truth which provides him imperishable reality of life. Apparently, he connotes this idea in these lines;

Beauty is truth and truth is beauty,

All ye know on earth and all ye need to know (Ode on a Grecian Urn)

As a matter of fact, physical outward has another aspect of beauty. It has been observed that one cannot escape from the influence of innocent face of a child, a well proportioned lady, beautiful flowers of different hues. Likewise, the magnificent buildings such as Badshahi mosque, Shah Faisal mosque, Minar-e-Pakistan, Taj Mahal, and Leaning Tower of Pisa etc. make us think about artistic beauty which has been inspiring people throughout the world. Simply, one can be easily dumbfounded with the beauty of physical objects compressively.

Besides, one cannot deny the intellectuality of historical persons. For instance, Socrates was physically ugly but intellectually he was the wisest person among Greek. Similarly, Aristotle, Plato, Einstein, Newton and many more were the pioneers because of their intellect. Their ideas and thoughts have provided the foundation stone in many fields. Quite astonishingly, physical beauty is impermanent while the intellectual beauty exhibits itself into various forms and cannot be come into devastating range.

In a similar way, Sufis are the paragon of spiritual beauty. They gain this beauty by showing selfless devotion to earn the pleasure of God. Their services, sympathies, good deeds and works are perpetual for future generations. Evidently, this spiritual beauty increases by obeying the command of God.

In conclusion, beauty has multifaceted implications in one’s life. And in every shade, it has innovative fascination for its beholder. With the passage of time, beauty overgrows as it will not wear out with this physical world.

Nice piece of writing. Transition words rightly used making it coherent and well connected.

Narrative is any story or interpretation of a historical or current event. For example, Iqbal tells us of a narrative of Muslims, their glorious past and their downfall. He tells that narrative by the use of symbols one of which is Shaheen.
So Iqbal tells us of the story of Muslims by a symbolic narrative.
Another crass example is of Bano Qudsia's Raja Gidh in which she used a parallel symbolic narrative to the novel's story.

Default post modern ethos a challenge to west

past practices such as religion'traditions practices and beliefs are obstacles in front of modernism
such as religion Islam as stumbling force against capitalism'interest based economy and real contender against new world order
spiritualism'mutual interdependance'respect for elders spirits of nationalism cultural emphasis aversion to materialism strict adherance to the practices of forefathers bit superstitious miraculous be lifer
these are just a few enlisted points that stumble down the progress of western based modernization.
since every aspect has its own; pros and cons
in the respective examiner demanded that.
