The MCQs statements were very detailed and elaborate. That was like they were explaining a concept before asking anything about it and were giving you hints what the final answer could be. They were leading statements for sure!

At first I thought I did well. It's just after few weeks it occurred to me what if those statements were just there to trick you to wrong answers. Because for most of the answers I didn't know those concepts myself, haven't even heard of it during my entire Socio prep, so I was relying on the information given.

It just worries me what if the explanation was there just to differentiate between those relying solely on it and those actually know the concepts. It's not uncommon for MCQ exam to include catchers or misleading options deliberately. So for me it could go either way. It depends on the kindness or wickedness of the paper setter.

Is it safe to opt sociology for CE-15, keeping in view the recent trend of the subject? I have read the last year paper and i was baffled after reading the questions? they were most out of the syllabus? Just tell me aspirants, which book should i rely on and how many days are needed to be given to sociology?

Only opt if you have sound knowledge of sociology. Even with that you don't have surety that you will score high in it.

Just look at the paper of 2014 and ask yourself if similar questions happen to be asked again would you be able to tackle 'em! If yes then go ahead!

Would all the candidates who secured sixty plus marks in sociology this year tell about the way they attempted the paper please?

the trend changes every 3rd year so i'd rather you were consistent

I got 65 and what I focused on was answering every question on the pattern of a short argumentative essay. (introduction -> logical argument -> examples -> counter argument -> traditional close.) one thing more, when i cross checked my objective part of the paper , only 4 were correct
