Post British History Papers 2014

PAPER I, PART-II

Q.2 Account for the development of Political Party System in Egnland during the 19th century.

Q.3 What were the changes brought about in the Structure of British Parlaiment by the Act of 1832.

Q.4 What do you understand by the "Victorian Age"? Write in brief about the achuevments of this age.

Q.5 Write Comprehensively on the "Whigs Oligarchy" in England.

Q.6 "No Taxation without Representaion".Also narrate the causes and results of war of American Independence.

Q.7 Describe the role played by England in the downfall of Napeolean.

Q.8 "England had become the workshop of the world with the beginning og Industrial Revolution". Discuss.

british history paper 2

Q#2: Produce and analytical essay on the four tenures of office of Gladstone, with particular reference to his reforms and foreign policy?

Q#3:How was scramble for Africa carried out by the various Imperialist Powers especially Britain and what was its Climax?

Q#4:Trace back the background, genesis, evolution and culmination of Fabianism and Guild socialism?

Q#5: Bring out the Debit and Credit side of the Entente Cordiale between England and France in early 20th century?

Q#6:Highlight the pivotal role of Britain in Inter wars Periods?

Q#7:Who floated the idea of European Common Market ? How did it see the daylight and what was its after-math?

Q#8:Shed light on the British involvement in the war on terror after nine eleven. what is your view whether positive or negative role has been played by Britain. Support your point with watertight argument?

to me Both papers were Easy except the Question no 4 of paper 2 . The Mcqs portion of Paper 1 was very easy all repeated ones while that of paper 2 were difficult like what is SMUTS and what is CORFU and like that.

Certainly both of the paper were quite easy and interesting ones. Paper II seemingly comparatively tough , is likely to give even better marks. It is hoped that those who have attempted the paper with reason , won't score less then 130.

Some of the MCQ's of Paper II that i remember:

When did Margaret Thetcher became Prime minister.
Where was the Great Exhibition held.
Who was Charles Reade.
G,M Travelyan wrote which book.
When was Zimbabwe de-colonised by British.
Which war was fought in 1911.


Overall the MCQ's were very tough and out of routine from previous papers.

yes tassawar brother you are right that questions were not difficult. the paper 2 seemed difficult because it was not set on traditional pattern of repeated questions. how did you take your papers.
