(viii) Ten cattles were grazing in the field.
(i) In the accident one of my arms broke and my legs bruised.
(Parallelism: which means their should be same form of verb before and after "And". Moreover, this sentence should be in active not in passive because we always write "I broke my arm etc.")

ii)The people who had been raising slogans against the government for many hours they wanted an increase in their salaries.
(Before "increase" we add "an")

(iii) You have been working very hard for the last two years hasn't it?
(It is problem of question tag. We use same auxiliary verb in tag. But remember in perfect and perfect continuous tags we use same tags "Hasn't it" instead of "Hasn't it bee".)

(iv) John could hardly do better than to have caught a bass of such dimension.
("Not" will not be used here as the idea has been expressed by "Hardly")

(v) I, who have no chance to meet him, would rather go with you instead of sitting at home.

(Here is the problem of punctuation as non restrictive clause has been placed after "I". So, we would add commas before "who" and after "him")

(vi) He comes there not only for swimming but also for coaching new swimmers.

(Same problem of parallelism. There should be same form of verb after "not only" and "but also". So, we need to place "not only" with for swimming as it becomes same as "but also".)

(vii) Last time, when he visited the fair, he bought not less than twenty school bags.

(Last time is an adverb of time so it is place in the beginning)

(viii) Ten cattle were grazing in the field.

("Cattle" is a plural word without "s")

Regards,

One of the most difficult papers of precise and composition in recent past years. Most candidates rely on precise and comprehension to pass this paper as other portions of the paper are assumed to be much tougher. When one solves precise and comprehension parts of this paper in a restricted time frame ( during examinations ), one finds himself in total confusion and mess. Precise is difficult to make here because the passage contains too many examples. When these examples are excluded from actual precise being made, one find himself short of words.
In comprehension it seems like paper setter's intention is to give a very tough time to the candidates. There was not a single question whose answer one could find in the passage right away. Other parts were easy but tricky. In conclusion, need your prayers folks 😂

It will be difficult to get solutions of subjective exams over the internet. The solutions of MCQs are available on this website but you will have to do some work to find them all.

Default please check my precise and point out mistakes

Assalamulaikum all,
i have attempted precis of 2017 css paper please identify my mistakes.

All the evils in this world are brought about by the persons who are always up and doing, but do not know when they ought to be up nor what they ought to be doing. The devil, I take it, is still the busiest creature in the universe, and I can quite imagine him denouncing laziness and becoming angry at the smallest waste of time. In his kingdom, I will wager, nobody is allowed to do nothing, not even for a single afternoon.
The world, we all freely admit, is in a muddle but I for one do not think that it is laziness that has brought it to such a pass. It is not the active virtues that it lacks but the passive ones; it is capable of anything but kindness and a little steady thought. There is still plenty of energy in the world (there never were more fussy people about), but most of it is simply misdirected. If, for example, in July 1914, when there was some capital idling weather, everybody, emperors, Kings, arch dukes, statesmen, generals, journalists, had been suddenly smitten with an intense desire to do nothing, just to hang about in the sunshine and consume tobacco, then we should all have been much better off than we are now. But no, the doctrine of the strenuous life still went unchallenged; there must be no time wasted; something must be done. Again, suppose our statesmen, instead of rushing off to Versailles with a bundle of ill-digested notions and great deal of energy to dissipate had all taken a fortnight off, away from all correspondence and interviews and what not, and had simply lounged about on some hillside or other apparently doing nothing for the first time in their energetic lives, then they might have gone to their so-called peace conference and come away again with their reputations still unsoiled and the affairs of the world in good trim. Even at the present time, if half of the politicians in Europe would relinquish the notion that laziness is crime and go away and do nothing for a little space, we should certainly gain by it. Other examples come crowding into mind. Thus, every now and then, certain religious sects hold conferences; but though there are evils abroad that are mountains high, though the fate of civilization is still doubtful, the members who attend these conferences spend their time condemning the length of ladies’ skirts and the noisiness of dance bands. They would all be better employed lying flat on their backs somewhere, staring at the sky and recovering their mental health.

'LAZINESS AND ITS VIRTUES'
This world is in trouble only due to those who condemns laziness. Its potential is often mismanaged. For instance, world would be a better place after July 1914, if leaders decided to rest. Another time, instead of meeting up at Versailles, if they preferred a vacation it would be useful for the world. Currently it would be beneficial, if few European politicians subdue laziness. People devote their time in attending religious sermons, to criticize women clothing and dancing. It is necessary for them to improve their mental health.

*Devil's whisper and the brainless minds*

And then I realized why did I have to be a philosopher. It could have been kept so simple.

It was my first attempt though.

What do the experienced have to say on this?
